And Why It’s a Good Thing
One of the most common questions parents ask after media day is, “When will the photos be ready?” It’s a great question—and the honest answer is that professional photography takes time, especially when your athlete’s images are part of a full production schedule with other teams and families ahead of them.
At BigO Photos, every gallery is handled with care, creativity, and attention to detail—never rushed.
What Happens After Media Day?
Once media day wraps up, the real behind-the-scenes work starts:
- Culling the best images from hundreds (sometimes thousands) of shots
- Hand-editing each selected photo for color, lighting, skin tones, and sharpness
- Styling for consistency across the entire team
- Final quality checks before anything is delivered
Each image is personally edited—no batch filters, no shortcuts.
Why Delivery Isn’t Instant
Media days often involve multiple teams, dozens of athletes, and many orders placed at different times. All galleries are completed in the order they are received, so if several teams or events were photographed before yours, their orders are completed first. This helps keep the workflow fair, organized, and consistent for everyone.
Typical Delivery Timeline
Most media day orders are delivered within 4-6 weeks, depending on:
- Team size
- Number of images ordered
- Custom edits or effects
- Current production schedule
Teaser or preview images are often shared earlier for social media.
